LG launches quad-core Optimus G


LG has publicly announced a new flagship Optimus G.
The LG Optimus G has a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, LTE networking, a 4.7-inch 1280x768 (320ppi) display and 2GB of RAM. The phone featured with 13-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front shooter. It not supports  microSD card slot, but providing a 32GB of built-in flash storage. The Android 4.0 sporting smartphone as well comes with NFC.


Now the phone has an estimated price of 999,900 KRW ($895 USD, Rs. 48,395).It will first go on sale in Korea by the next week.

The battery of the Optimus G is introducing  with an ground-breaking battery lifespan of 800 cycles contrasting standard batteries that only have 500 cycles of duration. The company has partnered with LG Chem to develop the battery.

Likewise, LG Innotek has developed G2 Touch Hybrid display, which eliminates the gap between the glass and the LCD panel thus the thickness of touchscreen panel is reduced by 30 percent.

Besides, LG display has helped LG Electronics in developing True HD IPS+ display, which is competent of generating 470 nits of brightness while using  70 percent less energy compared when displaying a white background,
