Apple take lead over Google in USA

The Battle never ends ,The new smartphone sales records  shows that  iOS back to the number one  in the US. Now Apple has a 48.1% share of  smartphone sales and for Android which has 46.7%  ,in USA.

Unfortunately in  Europe where Android still takes the lead.  sales in Germany 73.9%  and  81.7% in Spain. How ever in Britain where apple  holds a 32.7% share its very impressive . Germany  one of the  tough market for Apple, share falling by 5.1 percentage over the last  year.  The new  Samsung Galaxy S3 has taken  about 25 %r of the  smartphone sales its very helpful for android.  In Italy Nokia helps Windows , good sales of the Nokia Lumia 610 ( fourth best selling handset over the past 12 weeks)  and the Nokia Lumia 800 ( seventh best selling) this leads  Windows’ share up to 11.7% ( highest across Europe).

The last time iOS overtake Android in the USA  was when the iPhone 4S was released  (49.3%). This time hope  that Apple will beat  previous record and create new record in  the US smartphone market .Now Main reason  -I PHONE 5.

In  US iPhone 5 sales, 62%, have come from existing Apple users,  ie  upgrading to the latest  device, and  also   13 % of users switched from Android to I phone .people switching from BlackBerry devices- 6%,  and a very  small number  new Smartphone owners. Apple has always managed to maintain their service and quality. So  92% of existing Apple owners in the USA said they will choose an iPhone the next time they upgrade. Apples loyalty play key role, its help to  attract new customers  to Apple. approximately  60% of US iPhone 5 sales coming from existing customers and 40% from new customers it shows the  strength of the brand In  USA. main  physical changes on the iPhone 5 was a bigger 4” screen , 4G/LTE capability, both of which had a big impact on the  consumers .

Microsoft has sold 40 million Windows 8 licenses in One month - fantastic news To all the critics. Tami Reller (Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Windows) shared this news with  investors and media yesterday at the  Annual Technology Conference (Credit Suisse 2012). 

Windows 8 change the  way that old  Windows works and it is  touchscreen-orientated for use on tablets as well as traditional PCs.

Phishing Attacks Using the HTML5 Fullscreen API

Phishing is the act of attempting to acquire information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details (and sometimes, indirectly, money) by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phishing)

                                    

Many of the people associate phishing via e-mail  that mimic , banks, credit card companies. These messages look authentic and attempt to get victims personal information.

HTML 5 Full Screen API- 

 The HTML 5 Full screen API  allows  developers show web content that fills  the user’s screen completely. eg: watch a fullscreen video on YouTube.

Feross explain how this  API can works, by  hide the interface elements of the users' browser.

Most of the browsers have  user-triggerable full-screen functionality . The HTML5 Fullscreen API is differ from this. this  allows the web developer to access the  same functionality ,  trigger it programmatically.

Developer can trigger full screen when user clicks on a link or button .

The user can check  the link , will show www.kerala-techies.blogspot.com , as expected its good but when you click on the link  the developer (hacker) can call event.preventDefault() to prevent the default action ie  navigating to the link and able to trigger  fullscreen,  and mimic the browser , OS  and go to the fake page . This fake page look like same as the original with a green padlock for HTTPS.
